What we don’t collect
- No accounts. You never sign up or log in. There’s nothing to create and nothing to delete.
- No trackers or analytics. We don’t use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking scripts.
- No cookies for tracking. Outline doesn’t set cookies to follow you around.
- No personal data. We don’t ask for your name, location, or identity, and we don’t store what you read.
Quick Exit
Every page has a Quick Exit button pinned in the top-right corner. Tap it — or press ESC three times quickly — and you’ll be sent straight to Google. It uses a history-replace, so the Back button won’t return to the page you were on.
Browsing extra-privately
Quick Exit clears the page from your history, but your browser may still keep its own record. For more privacy, you can use a private or incognito window, and clear your browser history afterward. If you share a device, signing out of synced accounts helps too.
Links to other sites
When you tap through to a resource, you’re leaving Outline for that organization’s own website, which has its own privacy practices. We choose reputable organizations, but we can’t control how other sites handle your information.
